Calculators
Each calculator shows its formula, units and assumptions. Nothing is estimated for you in secret.
Cost per wear calculator
Price divided by the number of wears you realistically expect, with cleaning and repair added.
cost per wear = (price + cleaning cost per year x years + repairs) / (wears per month x 12 x years)
Assumptions
- Seasonal items are worn only in their season, so enter wears per month across the whole year, not just the months you wear it.
- Resale value is not subtracted. Use the resale calculator for that.
A comparison figure between two garments, not a prediction of how long something will last.
Size and fit checker
Compares your own measurement against a product's stated measurement and shows the gap.
difference = product measurement - your measurement; ease = difference / your measurement x 100
Assumptions
- Both measurements must be in the same unit and taken the same way: flat across, or around the body, but not one of each.
- Size labels are not standardised between brands or countries. Only the stated measurement in a size chart can be compared.
A flat measurement cannot tell you how a cut sits on a body. Check the brand's own size chart and its returns policy.
Landed cost calculator
What a cross-border order really costs once shipping, duty and tax are added.
landed cost = (item price + shipping) + duty + tax, where duty = item price x duty rate, and tax = (item price + shipping + duty) x tax rate
Assumptions
- Duty is applied to the item price only; tax is applied to item price plus shipping plus duty. Some countries tax shipping differently, and a few apply duty to the shipping too.
- Rates are the ones you enter. This calculator does not know your country's current duty schedule or de minimis threshold.
- Currency conversion, card fees and any prepayment discount are not included.
This is arithmetic on your own figures, not a customs ruling. The carrier or customs authority decides the final amount.
